Just wandering. Seems like this would be a great lake to dive on. Maybe not on the weekends but on less congested days perhaps.

not great diving at the thermocline is gets really dark in the 20 ft depth range you can see 5 -10 ft

I have dove the main channel around Duskin Marina and it was rather clear just really cold, but that was back in 08'. Hoping to come dive the area around Goat island soon.

My brother dove this past weekend when one of the lift tanks broke from the straps and went vertical under the dock. He suited up and harnessed the tube and we pulled it vertical and once we turned on the air pump it floated to the top and we got it back where it belonged. Visibility was poor 20ft down and the thermo changes didn't help.

We dove Smith lake in a few places in years past but the visibility and thermoclines did not make it a real positive experience.
